What is MESArc

​MESArc stands for Math, Engineering, Science, and Achievement Remote Control. Evolving over the years, the MESArc program has become a proven STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) outlet for middle and high school students.  The program involves the use of the International Baccalaureate Design Cycle to design, create, and evaluate scratch build remote control ground and air vehicles while adhering to STEM content and associated standards.

 

MESArc Vision

​MESArc is a pathway to the engineers of the future and we are committed to making scratch build aviation for kids one of the top outlets in the world for them.



This vision is accomplished through:

  • Affiliation with our valued sponsors/donors, advisors, and all students in the MESArc program.

  • A process of continuous improvement.

  • A commitment to leadership, education and scientific/technical development.

  • A safe, secure, and enjoyable scratch build environment.



MESArc Mission

The MESArc purpose is to serve, promote, and guide students to the possibilities in the field of Math, Engineering, Science and Achievement through the lens of scratch build remote control.

 

The following Design Standards were taken from the ISTE National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) and Performance Indicators for Students.



1. Creativity and Innovation

     - Students demonstrate creative thinking, construct knowledge, and develop innovative products and processes using technology.

    

2. Communication and Collaboration

    - Students use digital media and environments to communicate and work collaboratively, including at a distance,

to support individual learning and contribute to the learning of others.



3. Research and Information Literacy

    - Students apply digital tools to gather, evaluate, and use information.



4. Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Decision Making

    - Students use critical thinking skills to plan and conduct research, manage projects, solve problems, and make

informed decisions using appropriate digital tools and resources.



5. Digital Citizenship

    - Students understand human, cultural, and societal issues related to technology and practice legal and ethical

behavior.



6. Technology Operations and Concepts

    - Students demonstrate a sound understanding of technology concepts, systems, and operations.

 

 

ABOUT MESArc

What is MESArc Foam Fighters

​rcFoam Fighters represents the "Air Division" of the MESArc program.  Involving STEM based strategies and the IB Design cycle to create a range of scratch build remote control air vehicles from multirotors to planes.

What is MESArc Road Warriors

​rcRoad Warriors represents the "Ground Division" of the MESArc program.  Involving STEM based strategies and the IB Design cycle to create a range of scratch build remote control ground vehicles from street to offroad to autonomous.

What is MESArc ELITE

​ELITE represents the continuation of the program at the high school level.  Involving STEM based strategies and the IB Design cycle to create a range of scratch build remote control air and ground vehicles.

What is MESArc Productions

​Productions represents the video editing department of the MESArc program. A group of cinematic driven students whose sole purpose is to use the latest video editing equipment to create, edit, post, and maintain the MESArc brand across popular social media outlets.
