College of Engineering Flowchart
AEROSPACE ENGINEERING
is the primary branch of engineeringconcerned with the research, design, development, construction, testing, science and technology of aircraft and spacecraft. It is divided into two major and overlapping branches: aeronautical engineeringand astronautical engineering.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
is a very broad engineering field, typically the design and development of anything mechanical. In the realm of planes they deal with propulsion, robotics, and energy.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. In aircraft design, they usually deal with the circuits, devices, and systems used in aviation electronics, communications, instrumentation, and control.
COMPUTER ENGINEERING
is a discipline that integrates several fields of electrical engineering and computer science required to develop computer hardware and software.
SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
is the study and application of engineering to the design, development, and maintenance of software.

The following are flow charts of engineering majors offered at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
These are to be used as a guide for current and future ELITE students even if the plan is not
to attend ERAU. Subject to change based on University.
